Most of my patients will either self refer for physiotherapy or will be referred by their GP or hospital consultant from the Glasgow area.
Dependent upon your shoulder problem it may be more beneficial for you to see a clinician with highly specialist skills and experience relating to your problem. I work very closely with a shoulder specialist Mr Andrew Brooksbank and I can provide you with his contact details if required.
To discuss your injury:
Frank Gilroy Physiotherapy South:
Frank Gilroy at Hampden Sports Clinic:
Your shoulder injury appointment will be typically 30 to 45 minutes for a new referral. During that time i will carry out a thorough clinical assessment of your shoulder and ensure you receive advice, education and management strategies.
Should you need further investigation I will refer you back to your GP or consultant for their opinion as this is a medical decision.
My aim is to return patients back to their work and sport as soon as possible. The length of time depends on the injury and the treatment required. The demands of work or particular sport, the healing time of injury and rate of progress through rehabilitation goals are all factors in the return to activity.
I am recognised by the major insurance companies, but it is wise to contact them before any consultation. You will need to get authorisation from your insurer before attending for Physiotherapy treatment.
